USEON Filler Masterbatch Compounding and Pelletizing System
USEON's Filler Masterbatch Compounding System is a high-efficiency plastic compounding solution designed for the production of mineral-filled masterbatches. The system enables the manufacturing of high-volume, cost-effective plastic compounds by incorporating mineral fillers such as CaCO₃, talc, and BaSO₄ into polymer bases including PP, PE, and PS.
Filler masterbatch improves stiffness, heat resistance, and mechanical performance of plastic products while providing significant raw material cost advantages. It is widely used in injection molding, blow molding, film, sheet, sack/bag, and tape/raffia applications.
What Is Filler Masterbatch and Why Is It Used?
Definition
Filler masterbatch is a functional additive in which high levels of mineral fillers (such as CaCO₃, talc, etc.) are homogeneously dispersed within a polymer matrix.
Advantages
• Reduces raw material costs
• Enables higher production speeds and improved cooling performance
• Enhances product quality: higher stiffness, heat resistance, and dimensional stability
• Can reduce the need for color masterbatch
• Provides anti-blocking properties and better bubble stability in film and sheet production
• Improves anti-warping performance in tape and raffia applications
Typical Addition Ratios
• Injection molding & blow molding: 5-30%
• Film and sheet: 2-20%
• Tapes / raffia: 3-8%
Advantages of the USEON Filler Masterbatch Solution
High-Capacity Compounding
Production with high filler loading is possible using twin-screw or triple-screw extruders. In certain projects, mineral filler content of up to 85% has been successfully processed.
Advanced Pelletizing Technology
Homogeneous, high-quality pellets are produced using water-ring or air-cooled pelletizing systems.
Flexible Formulation
Applicable to various polymer systems such as PE, PP, and PS.
Cost Efficiency
Filler masterbatch reduces overall raw material costs while increasing production efficiency.
Wide Application Range
Suitable for multiple plastic processing methods including film, sheet, injection molding, blow molding, and composite production.
Application Areas
Masterbatches produced using USEON filler masterbatch systems can be safely used in the following applications:
• Plastic injection-molded products
• Blow-molded parts
• Film and sheet extrusion
• Sack, bag, and raffia production
• Composite and filler-based plastic applications
