DEKUMA RA SERIES
RUBBER INJECTION MOLDING MACHINES
Dekuma RA Series rubber injection molding machines are advanced production solutions developed for applications that require high precision, high clamping force, and long-cycle vulcanization processes. The RA series is positioned among Dekuma's heavy-duty rubber injection machines and is widely used in automotive, energy, electrical insulation, infrastructure, and industrial rubber sectors.
Thanks to their vertical clamping - horizontal injection architecture, RA series machines enable safe and stable operation of large and heavy molds. This structural concept significantly increases process stability, especially in high-tonnage and multi-cavity mold applications.
STRUCTURAL DESIGN OF RA SERIES MACHINES
Dekuma RA series machines are engineered with a strong focus on long-term stability and durability, featuring a highly rigid frame and optimized power transmission.
Key structural features include:
• High-strength, stress-relieved steel machine frame
• Vertical clamping unit combined with a horizontal injection unit
• Large platen design suitable for heavy mold weights
• Clamping mechanism ensuring precise platen parallelism
• Modular and service-friendly machine layout
This robust structure extends mold life while improving part quality in the production of large-size rubber components.
RUBBER INJECTION TECHNOLOGY AND OPERATING PRINCIPLE
In RA series machines, the rubber compound is prepared in the plasticizing unit under tightly controlled conditions. The screw and barrel geometry is optimized to prevent premature vulcanization or scorching of the rubber material. The plasticized compound is then injected into the mold under high pressure.
The process consists of the following steps:
• Plasticization of rubber under low shear stress
• Stable and controlled injection
• Mold clamping under high clamping force
• Vulcanization process
• Automatic or semi-automatic part removal
This system delivers high-quality results, particularly when processing EPDM, NR, SBR, NBR, HNBR, silicone, and specialty elastomers.
RA SERIES MODEL RANGE AND CLAMPING FORCE OPTIONS
The Dekuma RA series is offered with a very wide clamping force range, targeting heavy industrial applications.
Typical clamping force options include:
• 300 tons
• 400 tons
• 500 tons
