ALFA ROBOT NEW TITAN SERIES 650T-4000T INJECTION MOLDING ROBOT ARM
Next-Generation Full Servo Traverse Beam Robot Systems
The Alfa Robot New Titan Series is a full servo-driven traverse beam robotic arm series developed for medium-to-heavy tonnage horizontal plastic injection molding machines ranging from 650 tons to 4000 tons. Built on the proven engineering platform of the classic Titan Series, the New Titan Series features a more compact structure, optimized stroke ranges, and enhanced control capabilities, specifically designed for fast and safe removal of long and large-volume plastic parts.
New Titan Series robots deliver outstanding performance in facilities producing bumpers, door trims, large covers, containers, waste bins, and similar long or bulky plastic products. Thanks to its full servo control architecture, the system reduces cycle times, improves process repeatability, and establishes automation as a standard solution for large injection molding machines.
GENERAL TECHNICAL STRUCTURE AND MECHANICAL DESIGN
New Titan Series robots are constructed with high-rigidity aluminum alloy main beams, composite steel support structures, and industrial-grade linear guide systems. A special belt-driven transmission system used on the traverse and vertical axes enables high-speed motion with low vibration, even over long stroke distances. The crosswise axis operates with an optimized mechanical structure to ensure stability under heavy payload conditions.
A telescopic arm design is adopted for the robot. This telescopic structure significantly reduces the vertical arm height, allowing faster movements and enabling installation in workshops with limited ceiling height. The swivel structure works in coordination with either moving or fixed platens, performing take-out operations at a fixed 90-degree angle.
SERVO MOTOR AND AXIS CONFIGURATION
The New Titan Series is supplied as standard with a full 3-axis servo system. Depending on application requirements, an optional 5-axis servo configuration is also available.
Standard axis configuration:
- Traverse axis
- Vertical axis
- Crosswise axis
Optional axes:
- A axis
- B axis
- C axis
All axes are driven by AC servo motors. The A and C or B and C axes located on the end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) are servo-controlled rotary mechanisms that enable multi-angle, multi-position, and complex take-out operations.
COMPATIBLE INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE RANGE
New Titan Series robots are fully compatible with horizontal injection molding machines from 650 tons to 4000 tons. They are especially optimized for large molds and long plastic products.
Compatible machine tonnage range:
- Minimum: 650 tons
- Maximum: 4000 tons
PAYLOAD AND LOAD CAPACITY
The New Titan Series is designed for handling heavy and bulky parts and offers high payload capacity.
Maximum payload capacity:
- 15 kg to 50 kg
These values include EOAT, vacuum systems, mechanical grippers, and auxiliary equipment.
REPEATABILITY AND POSITIONING ACCURACY
New Titan Series robots maintain high positioning accuracy even when operating on large-tonnage injection molding machines.
Repeatability values:
- TN1500 - TN1900 models: ±0.2 mm
- TN2200 - TN4000 models: ±0.3 mm
Precision transmission components and servo-controlled axis design ensure stable and reliable operation under heavy loads.
STROKE LENGTHS AND REACHING DISTANCES
New Titan Series robots provide extended stroke ranges to accommodate large injection molding machines and long products.
Typical stroke values:
- Traverse stroke: 3000 - 5000 mm
- Vertical stroke: 2000 - 4000 mm
- Crosswise stroke: 1000 - 2300 mm
The telescopic arm structure delivers high vertical speed and low vibration, offering a significant advantage in long-stroke applications.
SPEED AND CYCLE PERFORMANCE
Thanks to the full servo drive system, the New Titan Series achieves short cycle times even in heavy-tonnage injection molding applications.
Performance values:
- Minimum take-out time: 2.3 seconds
- Dry cycle time: 12 - 28 seconds
Actual cycle times depend on payload, stroke length, and programmed motion profiles.
CONTROL SYSTEM AND OPERATOR INTERFACE
New Titan Series robots are equipped with an advanced industrial control system. The user-friendly interface allows operators to easily manage even complex automation scenarios.
Control system features:
- 7-inch touchscreen display
- Multi-user management
- Storage capacity for 100 mold programs
- Teach-in programming mode
- Linear and circular interpolation
- Simultaneous multi-axis motion
- Loop, comparison, decision, and arithmetic functions
