Application and Mold Maintenance
Before applying the protective product, the mold surface should be cleaned with a suitable mold cleaner to remove oil, dirt, polymer, silicone and other process residues. The product should be applied to the clean and completely dry surface in a thin, even layer.
Before returning the mold to production, the surface requirements and subsequent manufacturing processes of the molded part should be considered. For components that will be painted, printed, bonded or coated, the possible effects of protective residues on downstream operations should be evaluated.
